Ian Hughes

Ian is an experienced and highly versatile voice-over artist who has recorded numerous commercials, documentary narrations, animations and interactive computer games. A native of Merthyr Tydfil, Ian is happy to call upon his native South Welsh accent when required, and has recorded major campaigns for Asda, B&Q and The Daily Mirror using it. He is equally at home with RP, has a genuine ear for accents with a real skill with character voices. He has recorded numerous documentary narrations for The History Channel and Discovery Channel.

Ian is an award winning actor who has worked in every area of the industry: theatre, West End musicals, West End plays, TV, film, radio and commercials. He has recorded over forty plays for BBC Radio 4 and fifteen plays for The Archangel Complete Shakespeare.

He spent ten years with the Royal Shakespeare Company playing a wide range of leading roles.

Television work includes Eastenders, White Gold, Ransom, Alienist, Shakespeare & Hathaway, Stella, Torchwood, Gavin & Stacy, Robin Hood, Margaret, Holby City, A Waste of Shame, Casualty, Mutual Friends & Foyles War while his film work includes Doom, The Road To Guantanamo and Bright Young Things.
