Mary Ann O'Donoghue is originally from Dublin, where she started her acting career. Initially working in improvised children's theatre and mime, she also appeared at The Gate and The Peacock Theatre. Mary Ann came to the UK with the show 'The Midnight Court' and other appearances followed amongst them, at The Liverpool Playhouse as Minnie Powell in 'The Shadow of a Gunman' and touring for the Birmingham Rep with 'Joyriders'.
She has appeared in 'The Bill', 'Pigheart Boy' (the BBC Bafta award-winning children's drama) and 'Father Ted' (as the Optician!) . More recently, she has played Leah Nicholson in the RTE series, 'Fair-City' .
Her voice over work includes commercials for 'Estee Lauder', 'Standard Life', 'Colgate' and 'James Villas' to name just a few as well as documentaries and animation.
