Gordon trained as an actor at the RSAMD in Glasgow.

His career since then has included everything from Shakespeare to Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, taking in appearances in the award winning League of Gentlemen for the BBC and playing a suicidal, convicted child murderer in the gritty Channel 4 drama The Ghost Squad.

Gordon has appeared in a variety of commercials as a featured artist and as a voice artist. One of the most notable was as a giant owl for Pizza Hut.
