Angie Greaves can be heard
on the National Smooth Drive Home. She landed the super role after
Global Media (Smooth parent company) poached her from Bauer station, Magic,
in September 2019.
Angie was the first, and at
one time, the only woman on Magic where she started on Mellow Magic, moved to
Drive Time and after needing to raise her daughters, moved to Afternoon
with Angie which reached an audience of 1.4million on National DAB.
Her career began at Capital Radio where she was coaxed by DJ David “Kid” Jensen
to record voice overs.
The studio then became her home for live shows and voice work.
Angie was the voice of TV campaigns ‘Snack-A-Jacks’ and 'Sunny D', and also
voiced various documentaries for Channel 4, BBC 1 and BBC 2. Her voice
over world opened when she added the joy of animation to her portfolio and
worked for the Jim Henson Company (The Muppets) and voice a character for
the CiTV series "Construction Site".
The platform of radio will always be Angie's number one passion,
Mellow Magic was nominated for a Sony Award and was up against BBC heavy
weights like Johnny Walker and Dermot O’Leary. Dermot collects Gold and
whilst thanking the Academy states “I’m quite surprised at this. I listen
to Mellow Magic all the time, in fact I do my laundry to it”. Lovely
piece of promotion!
Angie's next phase of radio has kicked in with The National Smooth
Drive Home, and she's ready to take her voice over world to the next
