Tony Lockwood has spent 30 years in sports broadcasting. He became Independent Radio’s youngest sports editor when he took over the post at Radio Tees on Teeside at the age of 20. He moved to Bristol where he worked for GWR Radio, again as sports editor and then to London and the job of Football Correspondent at LBC. Talk Radio followed in 1996 where he presented an afternoon show.

In 2000 Tony went freelance and moved into television specialising in football. He continues to work for SKY, BBC, IMG and a host of other broadcasters. Among his career highlights was a 3 year spell working with one of football’s most famous names - George Best. He travelled the country with George and became a close friend.

Throughout his career, Tony has worked with a host of sporting personalities. He is a natural communicator with a wealth of knowledge about football.

Tony is also an experienced voice-over artist, public speaker and compere.
