Emma Rydal

Emma has been an actress and voice over artist for many years now, being one of our first clients. She is Cumbrian born and bred but her accent is a general ‘Northern’. She is one of the few actors who knows how to do a Cumbrian accent! Her voice over experience includes jobs for BT, Toyota, Lea and Perrins, Sure, Max Factor and Fitness First.

Emma has worked in theatre, television and radio.  Notable roles include Stella Moorhouse in the Brit flick 'East is East', Miranda in Charlie Higson's 'Swiss Toni', Maz in 'Coronation Street', Mikey in Kay Mellor's 'Playing the Field' and Juliet in Hat Trick's 'Small Potatoes'.  Guest leads in 'Dalziel and Pascoe', 'In Deep', 'Merseybeat', 'Death In Holy Orders', 'The Royal' and 'Hollyoaks.'

Radio plays include the lead role in 'Mary Barton', Margaret Forster’s 'Hidden Lives' and 'Shadow Baby' as well as ' Heft like a Herdwick' and 'Butchers Perfume' all for Radio 4. For Radio 3 Alice Nutter's, 'My Generation'.

Emma has also turned her talents to writing, having won The Audience Award for Best Play at the 24.7 Theatre Festival in Manchester for her first play 'True'.
