Helen Goldwyn

Helen was the inaugural winner of the One Voice Award for ‘Best Female Radio Performance’ 2018.   An exceptionally versatile character actress, she has played a vast range of characters, from empresses to pirates to divas, doctors and aliens.  Although comfortable in any genre, she has a particular flair for comedy and her voice can be heard in animation, computer games, commercials, audio/radio drama and explainers. 

She has appeared in over 120 audio/radio dramas including playing lead roles opposite David Tennant, Alex Kingston, Catherine Tate, Celia Imrie, Christopher Eccleston and Sir John Hurt (amongst many more).  For 10 years she played the ongoing lead role of ‘Elena’ in the audio drama series The Tomorrow People and has also been a regular in The Prisoner (on Radio 4) and the post-apocalyptic drama, Survivors

In the world of gaming, recent credits include playing numerous characters in Dying Light 2 and Watch Dogs Legion. For Games Workshop, she voices the role of the vampire ‘Kaelena’ in the Warhammer: Blacktalon animation. Helen is also a highly experienced, versatile singer and (alongside her acting roles) is a featured singer in Dying Light 2.

She has appeared in many theatre productions in the West End and on tour, including Uncle Vanya directed by Kenneth Branagh; Romeo and Juliet (directed by Judi Dench); Abigail's Party (York Theatre Royal); Macbeth (Arts Theatre, London); My Fair Lady (directed by Simon Callow) and seasons at Regents Park Open Air Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre.  TV work includes The Second Quest (directed by David Jason), Doctors and Waking the Dead.
