Penelope has over 20 years’ experience as a voice artist in all manner of accents, with an age range from babies to grannies! Her voice is used regularly in animation, computer games, narration, audiobooks, audio drama, ADR, continuity, ELT, commercial and radio.
Known for her children’s voices, both boys and girls, Penelope has a passion for animation. She can be heard in Rainbow Rangers voicing Lavender and Indigo (Nick Jnr.), Uma & Devan (Amazon), the title role of Mini Wolf (Netlfix) and Mighty Smighties (YouTube). Other animation work includes Ninja Express (Frogbox), all female voices in Captain Virat (YouTube/Toonz Animation), the title role of the adorable tortoise in the series Lulu Zipadoo (Mondo TV), Hubert & Takako, and Princess Rhea/Princess Hera in the series SpacePops (Genius Brands/Telegael).
Nominated by Audible for Narrator of the Year, Penelope has voiced over 250 audiobooks. Favourite titles include: Gorillas in the Mist, The Turn of the Screw, Homeland: Carrie’s Run, Homeland:Saul’s Game (based on the TV series), The Heartfix, Sympathy, Let the Light Shine, The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes, Hattie B Magical Vet children’s series, The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory and most recently voiced the young girl Pip in Future Friend, alongside the author, David Baddiel.
Penelope has worked on an extensive number of computer games, Mo-Cap and Warhamer titles, including two series of Realmslayer, voicing Maleneth opposite Brian Blessed’s Gotrek. A recent favourite game of hers was voicing the award winning Lost for Words where she voiced little Lump and a therapeutic Whaleshark!
Radio dramas for the BBC include Proust’s In Search of Lost Time, The Professor, The American Senator and Portrait of a Lady.
Originally from Surrey, Penelope grew up in the US becoming the all American kid, and as a result, works as a both a native British and American speaker.
She has a home studio session booth set up which is fully sound proofed and sound treated.
