James began his career in journalism working for motoring titles, a business weekly and then various diary columns of national daily newspapers.   He joined Capital Radio in 1997 and won a Sony Award for his mid morning show.   In January 2008 James took over Capital’s Network Gold Breakfast show and can now be heard across the UK every weekday morning along with co-host Erika North.   His feature 'Flirty @ 9:30', which is cult listening, is featured on his new show.  He can also still be heard on Capital 95.8 every Sunday morning. 

Voice over work has included Sky Movies, Gillette, BBC, The Daily Mail, Top of The Pops, CNN, Intel Pentium and George Michael.
